I have played a game with the tau supremacy armour and it sucked. The damage it did was terrible it only did 16 wounds to a shadowsword and this got worse because the shadowswords return salvo killed it and the supremacy armour costs 1221pts. These are the most important reasons why it is not a good unit. Number 1, protection for practically a titan it only has a 3 plus armour save! For a titan it gets shredded by heavy bolsters because it has to take a 4 plus save and its invun is only 5 plus for a titan and it is meant to be bulky and tough yet only has 30 wounds. 2, fire power for its main guns they are terrible so first the rail cannon and rocket pod system rail cannon macro 1 strength 18 ap minus 5 and 2d6 damage on sixes it does d3 mortal wounds poor and you have to pay 100 pts for it and the missile system only works if it gets in combat it does on a 4 plus it does d3 mortal wounds and that is thirty points the pulse ordnance multi laser it is better with two profiles one macro 6 strength 12 ap minus 4 damage 4
Or macro 2d6 strength 8 ap minus 3 damage 3 and this is 120pts its alright but not the weapon it should be yet was back in 7th edition and the nexus meteor missile launcher macro 2d6 strength 10 ap minus 4 damage 4. 140pts again alright but not the weapon it should be 3. Points cost it is 1221 pts . So please I want support because the model is awesome and I want it to be good as at the moment its 250 pounds down the drain.
Why are tau forgeWorld so poor
I would say Forge World Eldar units have way better firepower...like Pulsars for example. Shame Tau firepower from FW is not to good:)
Yeah I agree eldar have quite good weapons, I was thinking a lot about it and it thought that to the supremacy armour give it a 2 plus armour save and a 4 plus invun and for its weapons make the pulse ordnance multi driver make it either range 72 strength 10 ap minus 4 d 6 damage macro 3d6
Range 120 strength 8 ap minus 3 damage 3 macro 2d6 you can fire this weapon three times
Heavy rail cannon
Range 360 macro 1 strength 20 ap minus 6 damage 4d6 this weapon ignores invun saves and you roll 4 dice
For each d6
Nexus meteor missile array
Macro 4d6 strength 10 ap minus 3 damage 4 every unit within 3 inches of th e unit suffer on a two plus d3 hits with the weapon all units within 6 inches suffer on a 4 plus suffer d3 hits all units within 12 inches suffer on a 4 plus one hit all units within 24 inches suffer on a 6 plus 1 hit
Sounds reasonable to me! t'au firepower should be something to be feared!:)
