i was just wondering why very few people use leaders of armies. for example luke in ur armies you dont use dante for blood angel, logan grimnar for space wolves, magnus for Thousand sons, etc. i just find it hard to believe that these units are that bad. i always pick a character i love, (yriel/farsight) and build amd army around them based on there fluff
why no chapter leaders

Oh yeah...I pick units / leaders I like too. I would take Dante but the model is SOOOO out of date and small. James does use Guiliman and I have Cawl...so some leaders being used. May get hold of more in the future:)
Dante's model is badly out of date, but he also isn't that great of a unit. He can be a strong beatstick, but he does nothing in terms of supporting the rest of your army and in that case why not just take a stronger beatstick in Slamguinius for little more than half the points?
yeah thats fair enough. im just a stickler for fluff. prib why i very rarely win games lol
I'm desperately hoping Dante gets a big points reduction in the upcoming FAQ/Chapter Approved. And a new model would be good. And better rules!
yeah i checked his rules earlier and they really are pant. considering he is one of the oldest chapter masfers arou d you would think he woukd have picked up a trick or two
