So, have never played WH40K. This would be the list I have built from watching games both on the internet and in person. Studied the book and the styles and feel I have put something together I can work with and maybe be a pain in the A$$ or win for being a noob.

Looks great. Love the XV9's in the list...great looking models.
I would maybe try and get more infantry in to the list...helpful for protecting other units and dealing with hordes!:)

don't bother with xv9's unless you use them to cut down your drops with drones as you can have upto 4 drones with them so your 3 units of drones can and 3 xv9's could be 3 drops instead of 6 and make your 3rd detachment a vanguard all so make everything the same sept drones can only use savor protacals on units that are for the same sept

there is alot you could do to refine this list without changing it to much i'll pop one up for you in a bit and see if you like it

very simler to your list but i put in some mv7 marker drones instead of the dx-4 drones and firesight marksman and put a drone controller on 1 of the 4 xv9's by pairing up the xv88's and putting all the drones with the xv9's and coldstars you'd cut your drops down to help get that plus 1 to the roll off for first turn and made the xv84 a xv85 and give him 3 missile pods and ats so he can stay back with the bulk of the force to use his master of war ability to help the xv88's and fire warriors with re rolls did't both with an extra relic or with the shield generators on the coldstars as if you hold them back till turn 2 you can drop the xv9's with the shield drones were you want the coldstars to be and use the xv9's and drones as a screen so the coldstars don't die straight away which always seems to happen with coldstars as im sure luke and meany others will tell you. as for using dx-4 drones in the future i'd maybe us them it a riptide heavy list were that 1 or 2 wounds could mean they hit on 5's not 4's but with the xv88's they will hit as hard on 1 wound as they will 6 maybe save some points here and there and take an ethereal for 45 points and just have it using sense of stone to give the battle suits and fire warriors within 6ins of it a 6 up feel no pain hope this helps you
