Hey all I have recently started playing WH40k and decided on Eldar to start. I have been messing around with a few lists that I can make with the units I own and had some back and forth on this list already but wanted to see what the thought was around here. 2000 point list with my thoughts below. Rip it to shreds :)

Autarch is the warlord for CP and is on a bike to keep up with the wave serpent. He'll be buffing the wraithguard and guardian defenders while they last then will probably go down in a laser lance blaze of glory.

Eldrad and the wraith guard are in the wave serpent and meant to go in hot and fast. Eldrad is going to be debuffing the kill target and/or dealing mortal wounds while the wraithguard hit hard and hopefully survive a little bit of shooting.

The dire avengers are going to hang back with the long range group to help screen and overwatch anything that deep strikes.

The guardian blob goes in the webway to hopefully join the crew from the wave serpent all at once on turn 2.

Wave serpent to deliver Eldrad and the wraithguard. It will benefit from the autarch aura so it'll probably find something that the triple surriken cannons are good against in range. If not it'll probably go charge into something that needs to stop shooting.

The farseer skyrunner hangs out to give guide to the dark reapers and fortune to anything that might need it. He's on a bike so that he's a little tougher and has some shooting to help deal with anything that deep strikes in.

Warlock Conclave for the strategem, I want them to quicken someone into position or protect/jinx where the fight is happening from a long range. They are no longer characters so they'll probably sit some place out of sight.

Rangers for screening deepstrike and holding objectives.

The reapers are all one unit so they can all get guide from the farseer skyrunner.

Fire prisms for more long range support and so that there is more than one threat in the back line.

If I'm honest mate I think you are lacking some close combat units. The list as I can tell would be ok against long range armies like tau and guard but the toughness of eldar would cause a downfall even then. But if you get charged you really will struggle I can only see the characters being any good at close combat. You could have Wraith blades over Wraith guard and shove them in the wave serpent.

I changed it up a little. Here is what I'll be going with tomorrow for my next game. I changed up the wraith guard for blades, like suggested, and then dropped one dark reaper to get some vehicle equipment and to give the reaper exarch a tempest launcher. My friend is playing Dark Eldar so I wanted to have enough firepower to crack open his venom but then also be able to deal with what spills out from that!

I would take the crystal targeting matrix off the fire prism and give the second fire prism spirit stones as well, with only 1 cp for the stratagem you will be rerolling all they’re hits and wounds and your gonna want them both to have protection if anything inflicts wounds on it

Ran this tonight against a friend who plays dark eldar. We're pretty casual and he had never played against an eldar army in 8th yet so he wasn't prepared for a few of the stratagems I had up my sleeve. I got to go first and my dice were hot! I ended up basically tabling him and won 13 victory points to 5. It was my first 40k win! I really liked how durable the wraitblades were, I'm glad I made that change. And yeah meichouzdeh I never moved either fire prism so I agree the points for the crystal targeting matrix were waisted. My buddy said keep the list like it was he wants a rematch! It was a blast to play and while my warlocks never got any powers off my farseers were really great! Guide and doom was melting transports and giving me plenty of shooting left to deal with what came out. Thanks for all the advice, I'll be running this or something close to it for a while to get more practice in general. I was really happy with the way it turned out.
