I just saw the most recent sons video and I got the urge to make my own list.
And since I am not a thousand sons player (yet). I thought I would ask you guys for help and tips.
A battalion detachment. 2000p

HQ
3 exalterad sorcerers, one of them on a disc and a warpflame pistol.

Troops
3x10 rubic marines, each squad with a soulreaper cannon.

Elitens
2x5 scarab ocult terminators, each squad with a soulreaper cannon.

Heavy
2 maulerfiends with lasher tendrils.

This is 1785p so far, i like the defiler model, but not sure about how good it is.
The same goes for the heldrake.
So the last points are for you to fill in.

My strategy in my head so far is, two of the sorcerers stay with the marines, helping
them as they advance/controls objectives. The sorcerer on a disc does the same but for the maulerfiends. And the terminators arrives where they are needed.
I feel that I lack in ranged anti-tank and maybe also in numbers.
So any help is welcome.
And thank you in advance in case I forget later.

Looks good. If it were me I would drop a Rubric Marine units and take multiple units of Tzangors...helpful in the front rank and for screening!:)

Well I'll be running 3 units of 10. Up to you...Hellbrute is ok...but...don't worry about trying to match your opponent for firepower. I would concentrate on making a strong screen of infanty and then behind the your smiting characters...that is this faction's strength:)

Ok, I´ll play around with the points to se what I come up with, and check on how it works out for your army..

Do the sons have the new faq smite issue or are they exempt. I remember reading something about it. Mate remember sons are mad on phycic stuff so play to there strengths take as much as you can
