Hi
First of a question for Luke. Are you OK with me sharing a link to another 40k related site? If not, feel free to remove this post.
Now on to my subject. I have always seen 40k in two parts, playing and painting. But since my budget is restricted and I mostly play with my friends, I can't buy all that I want. I have three army's at about 2000p each right now, this is my limit and I am happy with my lists for them. So buying more models for these armies just to have something to paint felt pointless. So about two years ago I got an idea, make my own chess set. This way I could keep on painting and I can try painting a different army without over stretching my budget and collecting a whole new army. My first two teams are tau and tyranids. The start collecting boxes were a great start and the rest I got from a friend and eBay.
There, just thought I would share this idea with you guys. I'm guessing I am not alone in this situation.
Here is a link to the project on a website where me and my friends share our different projects with each other.
